What ratings do you need on DoorDash in 2026?
To keep dashing in 2026 you need a customer rating of at least 4.2 and a completion rate of at least 90%; there is no minimum acceptance rate. Each is measured over your last 100 ratings or offers. Acceptance rate, on-time rate and quality rate still matter for Dasher Rewards (Silver, Gold, Platinum), the program that replaced Top Dasher and decides who gets priority on high-paying offers.
The ratings and their minimums
| Rating | What it measures | Minimum to stay active |
|---|---|---|
| Customer rating | Average stars from your last 100 customer ratings | 4.2 |
| Completion rate | Share of your last 100 accepted offers that you completed | 90% |
| Acceptance rate | Share of your last 100 offers that you accepted | No minimum |
| On-time rate | Share of your last 100 completed offers delivered by the time shown when you accepted | No set number; repeated late-delivery violations can lead to deactivation |
| Quality rate (pilot) | Share of your last 100 orders with no verified issue (minor −1%, major −3%) | No set number; repeated major issues can lead to deactivation |
All of these are rolling: each new offer or rating pushes the oldest one out. One decline stays in your acceptance rate for the next 100 offers, so a dip takes a while to recover. In some areas you can tap a rating to see exactly which of your last 100 orders count and which were excused.
What DoorDash removes from your ratings
DoorDash says it automatically removes customer ratings below 5 stars in situations outside your control, such as long restaurant waits, offers already very late when you accepted them, several Dashers unassigning before you, late deliveries caused by batched orders, extreme weather and system outages. Unassigns marked "worry-free" in the app do not hurt your completion rate, and orders canceled by the customer or merchant do not count against you. Shop & Deliver and parcel offers are left out of the on-time rate.
Dasher Rewards: Silver, Gold and Platinum
Dasher Rewards has replaced Top Dasher and several older programs (Priority Access, the Large Orders program, early scheduling, VIP Support) wherever it runs. You need at least 50 completed deliveries to qualify; new Dashers get special perks during their first 50.
| Perk | What it does |
|---|---|
| Priority access to high-paying orders | Higher tiers are more likely to see the best-paying offers. DoorDash ranks offers by total pay, including tips. |
| Priority on Dash Now | Go online when an area is busy; in some areas, at any time. |
| Advanced scheduling | Schedule up to 6 days ahead, starting at 3 p.m. each day. |
| Large catering orders | Priority for catering orders; a catering bag is no longer required. |
| VIP Support and Platinum discounts | Routed to top support agents; DoorDash order discounts for Platinum in select markets. |
Thresholds vary by area. DoorDash does not publish one national set of cutoffs. The Ratings tab in the Dasher app shows the requirements for your market, and your level updates within about 48 hours of a change (often straight away).
The Overall Dasher Rating pilot
In pilot areas, your tier comes from an Overall Dasher Rating: a points score built from six inputs (acceptance rate, completion rate, customer rating, on-time rate, quality rate and orders in the last 30 days). The Ratings tab shows your points for each. In these areas DoorDash says:
- Everyone can Dash Now at any time, without scheduling. Higher tiers get "Offer Boosts" (priority on new offers and shorter waits), not higher pay per order.
- Store Pause: select Gold Dashers can block offers from 1 store for 2 weeks, Platinum from up to 3 stores.
- Platinum Pass: 200 consecutive deliveries completed at Platinum earn one week of Platinum you can use later, after a dip.
DoorDash has not published how many points each input is worth in 2026. Point tables you see on blogs and in videos come from earlier pilots or from Dashers' own screens, so treat them as unconfirmed and check your Ratings tab.
Is chasing Platinum worth it?
A higher tier changes which offers you see first; it does not raise the pay on an offer. If keeping Platinum makes you accept offers that lose money after car costs, the tier is costing you. Many Dashers settle on Gold or Silver and decline more. Run the numbers with our offer checklist before deciding.
Watch: is Platinum still worth it?
kim'ssidemoneyplans asks whether Platinum is still worth chasing after the Overall Dasher Rating change, which she says gave every Dasher access to Dash Now. She weighs Platinum's priority access against the cost of keeping what she describes as a 70% acceptance rate. Those numbers are the creator's; check your own Ratings tab for your market.

5 habits that protect your numbers
- Tap Pause, don't let offers time out. An offer that runs out counts as a decline.
- Unassign only before pickup, and use the in-app reason. DoorDash's policy allows an occasional unassign before you pick up the order.
- Check sealed bags with the merchant (without opening them) and keep hot and cold items apart.
- Message the customer early if you will be late; follow drop-off instructions and take a clear photo.
- Dispute late marks that were the restaurant's fault, using the in-app dispute option where available.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum customer rating on DoorDash?
4.2, based on your last 100 customer ratings. If your rating falls below it, you may lose access to some opportunities or be deactivated.
Can you get deactivated for a low acceptance rate on DoorDash?
No. DoorDash says there is no minimum acceptance rate. It does affect your Dasher Rewards tier and Earn by Time sessions.
What completion rate do Dashers need?
90%, measured over your last 100 accepted offers. Unassigns marked worry-free and orders canceled by the customer or merchant do not count against you.
Does Top Dasher still exist?
In markets with Dasher Rewards, DoorDash says Top Dasher and similar programs have been replaced by the Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers. Check the Ratings tab to see which program applies to you.
Does Platinum pay more per order?
No. Higher tiers get priority on high-paying offers and other perks, but the pay on any single offer is the same. Judge each offer on your own cost per mile.
